The operator is offering Banff, Lake Louise, Whistler and Blackcomb in addition to its usual Swiss ski programme.
Kuoni ski product manager Roberta Russell said Canada will appeal to its existing clients. "Both destinations offer upmarket accommodation and excellent skiing,” she said.
"Prices are also similar. We felt we needed to expand in order to offer an alternative for those people who have skied with us in Switzerland.”
Russell predicted the new Canadian programme would attract around 600 customers in its first year. Growth of 25% is being targeted across the programme despite a disappointing 1999/2000 season.
"We are on level pegging with last year,” said Russell. "It's hard to say why it wasn't a great year but the millennium definitely had a negative effect. We think 2000/01 will show a significant improvement.”
Offers include free child ski lift passes with children under six travelling free on selected dates.
