Loganair is expanding connectivity between the Channel Islands and the UK mainland with a new seasonal summer route.
The regional airline starts flights from Jersey to East Midlands Airport from Sunday (May 31) with fares starting at £94.
This follows a connection between Jersey and Norwich introduced earlier this month and planned services to Paris-Charles de Gaulle and Bordeaux.
Loganair chief commercial officer Ronnie Matheson said: “Our new East Midlands route is one of four new destinations we are launching from our Jersey base this summer and represents a sizable investment for the airline.
“Loganair has a long history of connecting island communities with regions across the UK to support business and leisure travel and we look forward to playing an important role in Jerseys vibrant visitor economy with more choice for our UK customers to visit this beautiful island.”
Paul Holley, head of connectivity at Ports of Jersey, added: “We’re delighted to see Loganair launch its new daily service to East Midlands, enhancing connectivity while demonstrating the continued growth of Loganair’s network and presence here in Jersey.
“High-frequency regional routes are vital for keeping Islanders connected, while also giving visitors greater flexibility and choice when travelling to the island.”
