Lunn lambasts Government

GUILD of Business Travel Agents chairman Don Lunn has launched a scathing attack on the Government for snubbing the business travel industry.

In a speech at the GBTA’s annual general meeting lunch, Lunn slammed the Government for failing to mention business travel in any of the 230 clauses of the integrated transport policy in last year’s Transport Act.

Airport tax increases, delays to the building of Heathrow’s fifth terminal and the state of Britain’s rail links to Europe also came in for criticism, as Lunn blamed Government officials for failing to see the contribution of business travel agents in promoting British industry.
