This comes on top of 26 flights cancelled by Ryanair and a “handful” of affected British Airways services.
France’s civil aviation authority said airlines were reducing their flights into and out of Paris airports by 30%, and those to and from the cities of Lyon, Marseille, Nice and Toulouse by 20%.
Eurocontrol reported “very major delays” across France with more than 100,000 minutes of delay in its system.
A British Airways spokesman said: “Like all airlines we have to comply with the mandate from the French authorities to reduce our flying schedules to parts of France due to industrial action by air traffic controllers.
“We are sorry for the inconvenience and are contacting customers on affected flights. Customers should check ba.com for their latest flight information before leaving for the airport.”
