Trade-only operator Major Travel has described its new cruise booking platform as a “game changer” for agents.
The new function on the Major Go platform enables agents to create, price and book tailor-made cruise holidays using one single booking interface.
Cruise lines featured on the platform include Royal Caribbean, Celebrity Cruises and Disney Cruise Line, alongside other cruise brands.
Alongside the cruise and cabin grade, agents can add flights, pre- or post-cruise hotel stays and transfers to build a complete holiday on the platform.
Qasim Gulamhusein, managing director at Major Travel, said: “This is a real game changer for agents selling cruise.

“Being able to create the whole holiday in one place, rather than managing separate bookings for flights, hotels and transfers, makes it much easier to offer customers a truly tailor-made experience.
“We know cruise is an area where agents want to offer more choice and more flexibility, and Major Go now gives them the tools to do exactly that.”
Major Travel is inviting agents sign up for the trial period in August and share feedback ahead of the tool’s full launch.
Those agents will earn an additional £50 for every cruise booking they make through Major Go during the pilot period until September.
When Major Travel announced plans for the cruise package facility last autumn, it said it was targeting a sixfold increase in the proportion of its total bookings from the sector.
