The airline is offering full refunds following the MH17 disaster, including for those with tickets classed as non-refundable for flights scheduled up to the last day of this year.
Fees for passengers who wish to change their flight itinerary are also being waived for those who apply before the Thursday deadline.
“In light of the MH17 incident, Malaysia Airlines will be waiving any change fees for passengers who wish to make changes to their itinerary to any MH destinations,” the carrier said in a statement.
Passengers who wish to make changes to their travel plans should contact their nearest Malaysia Airlines ticketing office, or call 1-300-88-3000 (in Malaysia) or +603 7843 3000 (outside Malaysia).
The airline has also made the decision to retire the flight number MH17 out of respect for the passengers and crew who died on the Amsterdam to Kuala Lumpar flight on Friday. The replacement flight number will be MH19.
