management changes at six continents hotels

SIX CONTINENTS Hotels has appointed Richard Solomons as chief financial officer.

Solomons was previously Six Continents’ chief operating officer in the Americas. For his new role, Solomons will be based in London and report directly to the company’s chairman and chief executive Thomas Oliver.

Solomons will be replaced on November 5 by Stevan Porter, who becomes a member of the management committee in addition to taking on the chief operating officer’s role.

Porter joins from the Hilton Hotels Corporation where he worked as senior vice president and executive vice president – hotel operations.
