McEwan to leave TUI UK

TUI UK retail director John McEwan is to leave in October after three years with the company.

McEwan joined Lunn Poly in June 2000 as strategic development director, becoming managing director in October 2000 and taking up the new role of TUI UK retail director following the TUI UK reorganisation in January 2002.

During his three years, he has led the introduction of foreign exchange bureaux, the roll-out of new retail selling systems and a major refurbishment programme.

TUI UK managing director Chris Mottershead said: "Having established these changes in our retail business John feels this is an appropriate time to move on and develop his interests outside TUI UK.”

A replacement for McEwan is likely to be announced by the end of the week.
