Monarch confirms Jeans as MD

MONARCH Scheduled has confirmed the appointment of former MyTravel Airways chief operating officer Tim Jeans as its new managing director.

Monarch chief executive Peter Brown said Jeans has been brought in to grow the low-cost arm of the business.

As part of the change, Monarch Scheduled commercial director Jonathan Crick will become sales and marketing director.

Other changes at the airline include managing director of sister company First Aviation Alan Murray being promoted to the carrier's board and a change to Mike Dovey's position from sales director to commercial planning director.
