MSC Cruises appoints new president to support global expansion

MSC Cruises has appointed Roberto Bruzzone as president.

In the newly created role, Bruzzone will work closely with leadership teams to support the business’s “continued growth” alongside the development of its fleet, operations and staff.

He will be based in the company’s headquarters in Geneva and joins at “a pivotal stage” as the brand looks to “enhance its offering and global presence”.

Bruzzone has more than 20 years of experience in the travel and hospitality sectors.

Most recently, he was a senior executive at Kempinski Hotels and he has held senior positions at Royal Caribbean Group and Carnival Corporation, spanning shipbuilding and marine operations for different brands.

This appointment comes as MSC Cruises appointed former P&O Cruises vice-president Rob Scott as senior advisor, guest experiences & growth strategy for the UK and Ireland.

The cruise line has a fleet of 17 ships and an orderbook of 10 new ships scheduled for delivery over the next decade, including a new Frontier Class vessel.
