Nadine Rankin joins Caribbean Tourism Organisation

The UK & Europe arm of the Caribbean Tourism Organisation has confirmed Nadine Rankin as chapter manager.

She takes up her new role on Monday following the closure of her tourism representation company AMG.  

The appointment is being hailed as marking an “important new phase” for the organisation as it continues to strengthen support for members, expand a programme of activities and champion Caribbean tourism across the UK and Europe.

Her role is designed to provide strong operational and administrative support while contributing to the continued growth, visibility and professional development of the organisation.

Rankin said: “The CTO Chapter has been an important part of my professional life for nearly three decades and this feels like such a natural progression.

“Having had the privilege of running my own company, which enabled me to volunteer a small amount of time to supporting the Chapter, I now have the opportunity to devote my energy full-time to an organisation whose mission I deeply value.

“It is an exciting new adventure for me, and I look forward to helping the CTO Chapter grow its influence and impact throughout the UK and Europe.”

Chapter chair Colin Peglar added: “We are delighted to welcome Nadine to the CTO Chapter UK & Europe team. Having served on the board since 1999, including as co-chair, vice-chair and treasurer, she has played a significant role in shaping the Chapter and supporting its evolution over the years. 

“Her commitment to Caribbean tourism also extends to the Caribbean Hotel & Tourism Association Education Foundation, where she served as a trustee from 2006 until recent years, supporting education and opportunity across Caribbean hospitality and tourism.

“Her extensive leadership experience, deep understanding of the Chapter and longstanding commitment to Caribbean tourism make her an excellent addition to the team.

“Nadine will play an important role in supporting our members, delivering our programme of activities and further raising the profile and influence of the CTO Chapter UK & Europe.”

Business devellpment director Florian Valmy-Devillers said: “Nadine brings a unique combination of leadership experience, industry expertise and a deep-rooted commitment to the Caribbean tourism industry. Having led her own company for several decades, working with both public and private sector clients, she brings strong commercial acumen and extensive industry knowledge.

“With more than 25 years of active involvement in the CTO Chapter, Nadine’s experience as Treasurer will also be a valuable asset in supporting and strengthening the Chapter’s financial and administrative operations.

“Her ability to speak German, French and Spanish is another significant asset as we continue to strengthen our engagement across the UK and key European source markets.”
