NCLH and Travel Weekly co-host Inspiring Women event on Oceania Vista

Norwegian Cruise Line Holdings (NCLH) and Travel Weekly have co-hosted an Inspiring Women event for employees on Oceania Vista.

A total of 38 women from the parent company of Norwegian Cruise Line, Oceania Cruises and Regent Seven Seas Cruises took part in the day on August 27 while the ship was docked in Southampton.

Attendees included Oceania Cruises and Regent Seven Seas Cruises group chief marketing officer Caroline Smith, Oceania Cruises UK and Ireland sales director Louise Craddock and NCLH EMEA finance director Moira Taylor.

The day featured a keynote speech from industry veteran Jo Rzymowska MBE about her 40-year career and a panel with NCLH executives whose roles span marketing, guest services, vessel operations and sales, moderated by Travel Weekly editor-in-chief Lucy Huxley.

These sessions were followed by a ship tour and five-course lunch.

Huxley said: “It is fantastic to see our Inspiring Women portfolio continue to go from strength to strength.

“We are grateful to NCLH for asking us to organise our first bespoke event in this series and taking the opportunity to celebrate women and leadership.”

Craddock said: “We are thrilled that NCLH is the first company to roll out Travel Weekly’s Inspiring Women event within their business.

“It’s been a pleasure collaborating with Lucy and the team. This came about last year after I attended the retreat, and our leadership team approved the event, which I’m very grateful for.

“We have had lovely feedback across the board from our attendees and hopefully this is something we can continue into the future.”

Smith said: “Hosting the Travel Weekly Inspiring Women event on board Oceania Vista provided a fitting backdrop for an afternoon dedicated to celebrating leadership, ambition and opportunity.

“Bringing together such an accomplished group of women highlighted the strength of talent within the NCLH business, as well as the wider industry, and the importance of continuing to create pathways for future generations of female leaders.”
