Networking group HR in Travel hails success of first event

A networking group for HR professionals in the industry has outlined priorities for the industry at its first event.

The HR in Travel - Engage event took place on February 26 and was hosted by Grant Thornton, with leaders from Expedia, ATPI Group, Travel Counsellors, Holiday Extras and more.

Roundtable discussions on the day highlighted priorities for HR professionals working in travel in 2026, such as retaining talent “at all levels” and using data to “drive better people decisions”.

The membership organisation plans to host more events and networking opportunities throughout 2026.

Founder of the organisation and Best Workplaces in Travel Gail Kenny said:
