north american airspace still closed

AMERICAN and Canadian airspace is still closed to all commercial flights following yesterday’s terrorist attacks in the USA, Travel Weekly can reveal.

It is not known when flights may resume.

Restrictions are also in place over Israeli airspace.

In the UK, passengers planning to fly from Heathrow airport are being advised to check with their airline as there are delays both to and from the UK as a knock-on effect of yesterday’s events.

In addition, British Airways has scrapped flights to Islamabad in Pakistan because of its proximity to Afghanistan.
