Norwegian Cruise Line takes delivery of newest ship Luna

Norwegian Cruise Line (NCL) has taken delivery of its newest ship Norwegian Luna in a ceremony at the Fincantieri shipyard in Marghera, Italy.

The second Prima Plus Class vessel takes the line’s fleet to 21 and has capacity for 3,565 passengers across 1,809 cabins.

Luna has 17 restaurants, 18 bars and lounges, in addition to the Aqua Slidecoaster, Luna Midway amusement park and Luna Game Zone

The ship will sail a transatlantic voyage from Civitavecchia to the US, before debuting in Miami with a naming ceremony on March 27.

It will then homeport from Miami in 2026 and sail three and four-day voyages to The Bahamas and seven-day Caribbean cruises, including calls at the revamped private island Great Stirrup Cay before sailing from New York from April 2027, offering four to seven-day Bermuda voyages.
