Not Just Travel wants to expand its corporate team by 10% in a bid to boost support offered to its growing network of agents.
The homeworking group has launched a recruitment drive across its head office, with positions created in departments including operations and experience, marketing and trade.
The company is also preparing to double the size of its franchise recruitment team as it seeks to attract more “high-quality new members”.
Mel Garthwaite, head of operations at Not Just Travel, said: “More people in the team means shorter queues, quicker answers and more time spent getting the detail right on every booking. Consultants feel that difference straight away, and so do the clients they look after.”
Not Just Travel, which has more than 800 agents, said it has seen a spike in new members in the last year, partly driven by the introduction of its Lite package.
It describes the Lite package as a “low-cost mentorship-focused route” aimed at people joining from outside the travel industry.
The company is also developing an apprenticeship scheme to support young people into employment.
The expansion follows the creation of Not Just Travel’s ‘Gold Standard’ service commitments, which are credited with helping it achieve “record” response times to agents. New bookings and refunds are also being processed quicker than ever, the company added.
Not Just Travel chief operating officer John Jones said: “We’re growing the team because our consultants are busier than ever, and we want every one of them to have industry-leading support and head office expertise available in the moment they need it.
“When a consultant receives a fast, accurate answer from us, their client gets superior service. That is the driving force behind the investment, and indeed everything we do.”
He added: “With our new Gold Standard, we have set out exactly what consultants and their clients can expect from us, from how quickly we answer the phone to how fast a refund lands.
“Strengthening the team is how we make sure we hit those standards every time, not just on a good day.
“It sets a new bar for service in this industry. In addition, opening up apprenticeship opportunities for young people means we can welcome more fresh talent into our wonderful industry.”
