Operator makes a splash with creche facilities

STENA Line has set up a supervised creche on board one of its Irish Sea ships, Koningin Beatrix, operating from Fishguard to Rosslare. The company claims it is the first ferry operator and one of the first in the holiday transport industry to lay on a creche. It is run by the National Nursery Examining Board qualified staff and will initially be run on a trial basis with a view to being introduced on other ships later. Charge for the service is £2.50 an hour per child.
