Pata brings back summer roadshows for travel agents

The Pacific Asia Travel Association UK & Ireland is bringing back its summer roadshows this year for travel agents.

The roadshows will run in London and Manchester in July and feature speed-dating as well as food, drink and the opportunity to win prizes.

The first is on July 2 from 5.30pm at Cabana Covent Garden in London, and the second is on July 3 from 5.30pm at Voco Hotel Manchester in Manchester.

There will be 14 suppliers, including airlines, tourist boards and hotels from the region. They will rotate around the room to give agents updates on their products.

Norse Atlantic Airways is attending for the first time. Other suppliers attending are Thai Airways; Bangkok Airways; Singapore Airlines; Singapore Tourism Board; Hong Kong Tourism Board; Taiwan Tourism; TreeHouse Villas, Thailand; The Residence Bintan, Indonesia; LJR Consultancy (luxury hotel representative for Thailand, Bali, Cambodia, Vietnam); Kata Group, Thailand; RX Wellness Retreat, Bangkok, Thailand; Elephant Hills, Thailand’ and Aqua Expeditions.

Pata UK & Ireland marketing and events manager Chris Lee said: “The roadshow is a great opportunity for agents to enjoy a fun night out whilst enhancing their product knowledge and networking with industry experts.

“We’re especially excited to be joined for the first time by Norse Air who are launching in Thailand later this year, offering affordable and efficient air travel options across Southeast Asia which is such good news!”

Spaces are limited but agents can register for their free place at the roadshow on the association’s website.
