Perfect Getaways to open 11th shop amid plans to operate 20

Perfect Getaways is on the verge of opening its 11th shop amid plans to operate 15 branches within the next three years, with the final total potentially reaching 20.

Husband and wife Dave and Nicola Palmer are planning to introduce an additional store in Merseyside in the near future, but they asked Travel Weekly not to reveal the likely location until closer to the opening date.

“We see ourselves as Merseyside’s number one travel agency and we have identified a busy location that we need to be in,” Dave said.

The decision to expand further comes after the success of the shops that were opened last year in Kirkby and Bebington.

The new branch will be boosted by £10,000 in marketing funding from Jet2holidays after Perfect Getaways was among the winners in the operator’s Scale Up Your Street competition.

“We’re continually looking to expand,” said Dave, adding: “Twenty [shops] is the target, but we’re aiming to get to 15 in the next two or three years.”

The existing shops are kitted out with extensive bars, with beer on tap and up to 20 gins available, as well as children’s play areas.

“We’re always looking to innovate the experience of the customer,” said Nicola.
