P&O calls meeting over cruising arm
P&O is to hold an extraordinary general meeting of shareholders to discuss plans to spin off its cruising operations.
The meeting, scheduled for October 20, is aimed at gaining approval for the creation of P&O Princess Cruises as a separate company. If it goes ahead, the demerger should occur on October 23. The new company will run P&O Cruises, Princess Cruises, Swan Hellenic and German operator Aida Cruises.
