Princess Cruises has chosen four “Culinary Champions” to showcase its onboard food and drink, including TV presenters, chefs and mixologists.
Husband and wife duo John Torode and Lisa Faulkner, known for ITV show John & Lisa’s Weekend Kitchen as well as Masterchef, hosted audiences on board Sky Princess with the Good Food Show at Sea.
Chef, author and TV presenter Marcus Bean and mixologist Andy Clarke will also join the line-up.
The four champions will create social media content and marketing assets focused on onboard food and drink that agents will be able to use with clients.
In future, the initiative will also include incentives for agents with prizes including signed cookbooks and exclusive events with the champions up for grabs.
Speaking to 176 agents on board Sky Princess at the Clia Conference in Southampton, Princes Cruises sales director for UK and Europe Hayley Moore said: “It’s exciting for us because at Princess, we really pride ourselves on our food and drink and that it’s next level.
“What they are going to do for us as Culinary Champions is create a lot of content that you will be able to use to market and to tell those stories, so it’s a new way to bring the Princess brand to life for your guests.”
Princess Cruises UK and Europe marketing director Suzanne Korff added: “We’re delighted to welcome John and Lisa as our Culinary Champions, joining Marcus and Andy in showcasing our exceptional culinary experiences.
“As frequent guests onboard, John and Lisa bring not only their renowned culinary expertise but also a personal connection to our brand that shines through their storytelling.”
