report confirms debris caused concorde crash

Air France Concorde crash of July 2000 has confirmed it was caused by a piece of debris on the runway.

According to the BBC a stray part lost by an aircraft that took off minutes beforehand caused one of Concorde’s tyres to burst, triggering the events that led to it exploding and killing more than 100 people.

Investigators claim there was nothing the pilots could have done to avert the disaster. If the take off had been averted the jet would have burst into flames on the ground.
