Ryanair in talks with former Virgin Express MD

FORMER Virgin Express managing director John Osborne has been in negotiations with rival low cost airline Ryanair.

A spokesman for the Irish carrier said:

“Ryanair has been in touch with John Osborne. We think he would make a welcome addition to the management team.”

Asked what stage talks were at, he commented: “Nothing has been concluded.”

Virgin Express has just announced pre tax losses of £4.4 million in the third quarter to September 30.

Osborne is to be replaced at Virgin Express by its director of flight operations Neil Burrows.
