SABRE has launched a new web-based booking engine with the aim of appealing to a wider range of agency customers.
Called Sabre Advanta.Res, the new system incorporates negotiated fares available on the Sabre network and can be customised to meet customers’ specific requirements.
Advanta.Res is designed to meet the needs of agents that need a system more flexible than the basic Essentia.Res product, but do not require the advanced capabilities offered by the top of the range Meridia.Res or Optima.Res systems.
It has been introduced as part of a restructure of Sabre’s pricing and product mix that has taken place to meet current market conditions.
Under the new pricing structure, the Meridia.res product is available for £6,850, around half its previous price.
Sabre is also in the final stages of completing its integration with Gradient, acquired by Sabre in August 2000. The Gradient name, which has been used in Europe since the takeover, is to disappear and instead its products will be marketed under the Sabre name.
