Service issue has received too much hype

I HAVE to admit while I am a relative late comer to the whole subject of service fees, Ido feel the subject is being blown out of proportion.

 

From what I understand, fees are only being proposed for scheduled flight tickets. Agents have the option of booking the flight through a consolidator and claiming their normal commission.

 

But service fees for holidays? Every agent knows that if any operator was to introduce zero commission, they would be dropped and switch sold. After all it's already happening with British Airways.
