Shearings has expanded its collection of direct-route mini breaks, adding five new music and theatre journeys and event tours.
The mini breaks are shorter in length with limited stops along the way and no change of coach at an interchange to allow more time at the destination.
The five new tours all include return coach travel with regional joining points and hotel accommodation with breakfast and evening meals. All breaks are fully escorted with knowledgeable drivers.
Among the new tours are Mamma Mia! The Party and London, which includes tickets for Mamma Mia! The Party at the O2 and free time to explore London. The three-day tour is priced from £349.
Also new is the three-day Coronation Street ’Meet a Star’ Experience, priced from £279, which includes a 90-minute guided tour of the set of Coronation Street with a chance to walk the famous cobbles.
The highlight of the tour is the chance to meet one of the Corrie cast members in person and, with departures in November and December, the itinerary also includes a visit to Manchester’s Christmas market.
In addition, more dates have been added to some of the most popular tours that were unveiled at the launch of the collection, including ABBA Voyage: A Night of Pop Hits; Elvis Evolution: The King in London; and Behind the Scenes at Coronation Street and Emmerdale.
Shearings head of retail sales Ashley Dellow said: “We’re really pleased with the reaction following the launch of the ‘Direct-Route Mini-Breaks’, already adding new tours and increasing frequencies to meet the demand.
“Agents tell me that they’re selling these tours to a younger demographic – time-poor professionals who are still in full-time employment who are loving the shorter direct travel time and the fact that everything is taken care of and they don’t have to worry about getting tickets, matching the dates with accommodation, or sorting travel.
“The packages are fully protected and can be secured with a low deposit.”
Any Shearings tour can currently be booked with a £25 deposit per person.
