Coach operator Shearings has introduced a collection of six ‘Set-cations’ holidays themed around the locations of popular TV programmes such as Coronation Street and Bridgerton.
Other shows featured in the collection are Vera, All Creatures Great and Small, Agatha Christie and Emmerdale.
The three-day UK holidays are part of Shearings’ direct-route Mini-Breaks portfolio, which offers shorter journey times, with limited stops along the way and no change of coach at an interchange.
Ashley Dellow, Shearings’ head of retail sales, said: “The hugely popular TV programmes featured in Shearings’ new ‘Set-cations’ collection are sure to attract fans keen to visit TV sets and locations.
“There’s Corrie and Emmerdale for the soap enthusiasts, plus Bridgerton, Vera, All Creatures Great and Small, and Agatha Christie dramas, all featuring great location visits.
“The hassle-free, direct-route breaks offer behind-the-scenes glimpses of life on set, as well as an insight into the filmmaking experience.
“Agents would do well to chat to customers about their favourite TV programmes and they could secure an easy sale.
“Agents can request ‘Set-cations’ social media assets from me to help promote the tours and draw in the fans.”
The Coronation Street ’Meet a Star’ Experience holiday costs from £279, and includes a 90-minute guided tour of the soap’s set and the chance to meet one of the cast members.
Another tour for soap fans is Behind the Scenes at Coronation Street and Emmerdale, which also costs from £279.
Vera’s Northumberland Tour: Step into the Drama is from £199, while Discovering Darrowby: All Creatures Great and Small costs from £219.
