SILVERSEA Cruises has become the first cruise company to join British Airways’ Change for Good appeal.
The charity encourages travelers to donate unused currency to the United Nations Children’s Fund. Since the appeal was launched in 1994 it has raised more than $15 million.
Silversea president Bill Smith said: “We are pleased to be supporting BA in this effort to raise money. Silversea’s itineraries span the globe and it is only fitting we play our part to contribute to the improvement of children’s lives in countries throughout the world.”
Guests aboard the Silver Cloud, Silver Wind, Silver Shadow and Silver Whisper, due for launch in July, will be given the opportunity to donate unused currency in specially printed UNICEF envelopes available at each of the ships’ reception desks.
