Singapore Tourism Board arranges flight to Oman for stranded visitors

The Singapore Tourism Board arranged a one-off flight from Singapore to Muscat to assist foreign visitors left stranded by Middle East airspace closures.

The flight from Singapore Changi Airport for Muscat International Airport in Oman was scheduled for 5.30am on Sunday (March 8).

The authority said the flight was for non-resident travellers in Singapore whose travel arrangements between February 28 and March 8 have been cancelled by an airline due to the closure of airspace in the Middle East, and who have not rebooked alternative travel arrangements.

Tickets were priced at S$600, approximately £352.

Children aged two and above were required to have their own seat and charged the same fare.
