Sir Rocco reunited with Brown’s

ROCCO Forte Hotels has acquired its first property in London with the purchase of Brown's Hotel for £51.5 million.

The deal reunites Sir Rocco Forte with one of the hotels he lost when his family's Forte chain was taken over by Granada in 1996.

He plans to spend around £11 million revamping the Mayfair property, adding extra bedrooms to the existing 118 guest rooms. Refurbishments are expected to be complete by the end of 2004.
