sky tv to launch bookable tv operation

SKY TV is to launch a bookable travel service in conjunction with on-line package retailer The First Resort.

In time the deal will allow Sky TV subscribers to buy package holidays, late breaks and other products through their remote controls, although scheduled flights will be the initial offering.

Taster travel programmes will be aired from February and the bookable system will go live in April.
