Smallman in High Court bid

FORMER TV Travel Shop commercial director Carol Smallman has served High Court proceedings against her former employer.

 

Smallman lost her 1% share in the company when she left in May. She is claiming compensation for loss of shareholding and wrongful dismissal.

 

If successful, her payout could run to millions as analysts have predicted TVTravel Shop will eventually float for up to £300 million.

 

It is thought the case could go on for some time as Smallman is not expecting a court hearing to happen before August or September next year.

 

Since leaving TVTravel Shop, Smallman has been working as a consultant for companies including Virgin.com.

 

TVTravel Shop declined to comment.
