Star Clippers appoints new chief executive to ‘lead next chapter’

Star Clippers has appointed Leo Chang as its new chief executive to “drive strategic growth”.

Chang’s most recent travel industry role was chief business development officer at Lindblad Expeditions, and he has also held senior positions at capital firms and pharmaceutical companies.

The tall-ship specialist was set up in 1989 by yachtsman Mikael Krafft and operates a fleet of three of the largest sailing ships currently in service: Star Flyer, Star Clipper and Royal Clipper.

Owner and current chief executive Eric Krafft said: “Leo has incredible passion for our unique and authentic style of travel.
