Sunlounger Travel has promoted Nikki Winsor to retail development manager to oversee the agency’s growing portfolio of shops.
Winsor joined Sunlounger Travel in 2022 and has been working in a dual role as branch manager for its Wisbech location and retail development manager for all of its stores for the last six months.
She has 28 years of experience in the travel industry and in the new position will be responsible for implementing initiatives to improve performance across all of the independent agency’s locations.
Sunlounger Travel has five shops, in Wisbech, Kings Lynn, Milton Keynes, Gloucester and Huntingdon, its newest branch.
Regan Bird, previously assistant manager in the Wisbech shop, will now take on the position of branch manager.
Director Iain Kirkbright said: “After trialling the retail development manager role for the last six months we’ve seen a closer working between the branches and an enhanced training and development programme put into action all leading to significant improvements across our key performance indicators.”
He added: “After analysing the data and looking at the impact Nikki has made to the business in this role, along with the time restrictions that came from a dual role, it made sense to make this a standalone role and move Nikki into on a full-time basis”
Winsor said: "I’m extremely excited to take on the role of retail development manager and to contribute to the continued growth of Sunlounger Travel.
"We already have a fantastic tam in place and I’m really looking forward to working closely with our managers and colleagues to support training, development and to help drive sales performance and product knowledge across the business."
