GREEK-OWNED ferry operator Superfast Ferries is to launch a passenger service between Rosyth in Scotland and the Continent in 2002.
The company was chosen to undertake the new operation by Scottish Enterprise, which sought potential candidates through a world-wide tender process.
The new route, which has not yet been finalised, is intended to offer Scottish passengers an alternative to travelling to the mainland Europe via southern ports.
