The first resort appoints chief executive

THE FIRST Resort has appointed David Wolfe in the newly created position of chief executive.

Wolfe joins the on-line agency having spent the last seven years in the USA where he established three successful companies. The most significant was package and cruise retailer Vacation Store, which he sold to America West Airline in 1998.

Wolfe will effectively take on the role of managing director, a post that has been scrapped. Mathew Prior previously held the MD’s position until he left to join First Choice as charter services director in May.

Wolfe said: “The shift towards buying holidays on-line and The First Resort’s fantastic opportunities, particularly with regards to its strategic partnerships, makes this a very exciting time to join The First Resort.”
