The Travel Network Group has launched a fundraising initiative to support Inspire Malawi, an educational charity.
The consortium said its charitable initiative will bring together colleagues, members and business partners over the course of a year “to help create lasting change through education”.
“The initiative marks a new chapter in the group’s commitment to making a positive impact beyond the travel industry, with fundraising efforts focused on helping to build a school in a remote area of Malawi,” said the consortium.
Vim Vithaldas, chief strategy officer at TTNG, said: “Through my connection with Inspire Malawi, I’ve seen first-hand the transformative impact that education can have on individuals and communities.
“That’s what makes this initiative so important to me.
“We’re fortunate to be part of a travel community that is passionate, generous and committed to making a difference.
“By bringing together our colleagues, members and business partners, we hope to create a lasting legacy and help support brighter futures for children and families for years to come.
“This is about using our collective influence as a force for good, and we’re excited to see what we can achieve together.”
Fundraising activities have already begun, with the initiative launched at the group’s Business Partner Forum events in Manchester and London in June.
Throughout the year, TTNG will host a range of fundraising events, including charity raffles, a charity golf day and personal challenges undertaken by members of the team.
Members and business partners will also have opportunities to support the initiative through sponsorship, prize donations and event participation.
