Tipto presents ‘record’ £8,500 cheque to Reuben’s Retreat

Tipto has celebrated raising £8,594 for Reuben’s Retreat in the last year, with the figure marking the greatest generated since the partnership began 14 years ago.

The sum, raised through donations and charity raffles at events, brings the total collected by Tipto on behalf of Reuben’s Retreat to £43,866 since 2012.

The Derbyshire-based charity will start the final build to complete the retreat in October, with the project expected to take just under two years.

Reuben’s Retreat founder Nicola Graham said: “It will be a place for families to remember and rebuild. Thank you all [at Tipto] for everything you do, you are utterly amazing.”

The charity, which currently supports more than 800 people from across the UK, is adding four holiday suites for families to stay in at the retreat.

Graham said: “Every penny counts and contributes directly to supporting our beneficiary families.

“We can never underestimate the geographical reach of Tipto, its suppliers and members.

“You never know when a conversation, a connection or shared awareness might reach another heart in need and for that, too, we are deeply grateful.”

Tipto chairman Vishal Patel said: “It truly is an honour to continue with our dedicated support of Reuben’s Retreat and the important care it provides for those families who have lost a child, or who live with children with medical complexities.

“We extend a huge thank you to our suppliers and, of course, our agent community, who never fail to support our fundraising efforts at events.

“It is because of their generosity that we can claim another record-breaking year. Reuben’s Retreat really is a charity close to Tipto’s heart, and we are so pleased to have been able to support them over the last 14 years.”

Tipto is in its 27th year of operation and has 26 members.
