Titan Travel and Virgin Atlantic have teamed up to donate a new eco-friendly tuk-tuk to a charity during a recent fam trip to India.
The vehicle was given to The Pink City Rickshaw Company, a pioneering non-profit organisation based in Jaipur.
The company employs 200 women from low-income households across Jaipur and trains them to become tour guides and drivers of specially designed, eco-friendly rickshaws.
The donation was the centrepiece of an exclusive, all-female fam trip hosted by Titan Travel.
The educational journey took 10 top-performing female travel agents to India to experience a specially amended version of Titan’s ‘India’s Golden Triangle with Ranthambore’ escorted tour.
The itinerary showcased the country’s culture, historic landmarks and wildlife, while highlighting the importance of community-focused, responsible tourism.
This recent fam trip is the latest activity in the wider ‘Tuk into India’ partnership between Titan Travel and Virgin Atlantic.
This broader campaign included an on-stage launch at the Association of Touring & Adventure Suppliers (Atas) conference in 2025, a UK roadshow and a booking incentive.
Chris Woodcock, trade success manager at Titan Travel, said: “Experiencing the magic of India on our ‘Golden Triangle with Ranthambore’ tour is always a privilege, but sharing it with such an inspiring group of female travel agents made this trip truly unforgettable.
“Partnering with Virgin Atlantic to support The Pink City Rickshaw Company adds a profound layer of purpose to our journey.
“By providing this eco-friendly tuk-tuk, we are incredibly proud to help empower the women of Jaipur, offering them a sustainable path to financial independence and leadership within their own community.”
Nicki Goldsmith, global agency sales director at Virgin Atlantic, added: “Seeing this partnership make a positive difference in Jaipur is something we’re proud of.
“Together with Titan Travel, we’re supporting a brilliant local initiative that creates opportunities for women in the community.”
