Norwegian Cruise Line cancels autumn 2024 European sailings

Norwegian Cruise Line (NCL) has cancelled some European voyages and will deploy two ships to the Caribbean earlier than planned due to “growing guest demand” for sailings in the region.

Norwegian Getaway (pictured) and Norwegian Epic will both begin their Caribbean sailings in October, arriving to New Orleans on October 20 and Port Canaveral on October 30, respectively.

As a result, Norwegian Getaway’s Europe sailings between September 29 and November 27 and Norwegian Epic’s sailings from October 17 to November 10 have been cancelled.

NCL said all customers booked onto cancelled sailings will automatically receive a full refund plus a bonus future cruise voucher.

A spokesperson said: “We understand the inconvenience and frustration this disruption may cause affected guests so our team is available to assist with identifying alternative sailings similar to their original booking so they may still enjoy a wonderful vacation at sea.

“We are committed to providing exceptional vacation experiences both on board our ships and by taking our guests to some of the most sought-out destinations around the world.”
