Trafalgar has launched a collection of small-group tours, offering 22 new itineraries designed for a maximum of 18 guests.
Sister brand Insight Vacations has also expanded its small-group tour offering to 35, giving travel agents access to 57 options.
Melissa DaSilva, deputy chief executive and chief sales officer at parent TTC Tour Brands, said: “Small-group travel is one of the biggest opportunities we’re seeing in guided touring right now and this collection is our answer to that.
“These trips are designed for travellers who want to get even closer to the people, places and cultures that make a destination unique.
“For agents, it creates new opportunities to match clients with the right travel style while continuing to benefit from the trusted brands, experiences and service TTC Tour Brands is known for.”
The new collection features elements traditionally offered on Trafalgar tours, such as travel directors plus Be My Guest and Make Travel Matter experiences, while benefiting from a “more personal group dynamic” and the ability to move more easily through destinations.
Kelly Jackson, TTC Tour Brands EMEA managing director sales vice-president, added: “We continue to see strong demand from travellers seeking more personal and immersive ways to explore the world.
“What makes this launch particularly exciting is the opportunity to bring Trafalgar’s incredible local relationships, storytelling and guest experience into a smaller group format.
“For our travel agent partners, it provides another compelling way to sell a brand their clients already know and trust, while offering access to experiences that simply aren’t possible at larger group sizes.”
The collection was developed through extensive customer research and trade consultation.
Itineraries may incorporate smaller vehicles, private transportation, local rail journeys and unique accommodation selected for its character and connection to the destination.
Highlights on Trafalgar’s new small-group tours include a Be My Guest experience at a family-owned San Antón grill house on the San Sebastian and Beyond itinerary.
