TravCorp Holdings has unveiled a management reshuffle after its acquisition of Specialist Holidays Group, with SHG managing director Helen Adamson leaving the business.
TravCorp confirmed Adamson would be leaving to pursue new opportunities after overseeing the sale and early integration of SHG, which includes the tour operator brands Sovereign Luxury Travel, Citalia and American Holidays.
Existing brands within the TravCorp portfolio include Destination2, Destination2 Cruise and Holiday Gems.
TravCorp IT director Dom Leeson will also leave the business “after helping to strengthen the group’s cyber and infrastructure foundations” and shaping plans for technology integration.
Under the new management structure, finance director Ross Wehrle (pictured, left) will take on an additional role of group chief commercial officer, reporting to group CFO Mark Lawton, while SHG marketing director Erin Johnson (centre) becomes group chief marketing officer, reporting to group chief executive Andy Freeth.
Other changes see product and purchasing director Matt Appleby (right) become chief product and purchasing officer for the expanded portfolio, and Stuart Hammonds join as group chief technology officer.
Simon Garrido, SHG sales director, and Ray Scully, American Holidays managing director, will report directly to Freeth.
Confirming Adamson’s departure, Freeth said: “Helen has played an important role in bringing the two businesses together and helping to lay the foundations for the enlarged group. She leaves behind a fantastic team that she’s developed during her eight-year tenure, and she should be proud of the strong culture and capability she’s built.
“We thank her sincerely for her contribution and wish her every success in the future.”
He added: “Dom has made a significant contribution to strengthening our systems and resilience pre-deal and has provided real clarity as we plan the next phase of our technology journey.
“His professionalism and insight have been greatly appreciated, and we wish him every success in what comes next.”
Commenting on the new management line-up, Freeth said: “We’re bringing together proven operators with fresh expertise to drive the next phase of growth. Ross, Erin and Matt are already moving the dial in their areas, and adding Stuart as CTO gives us the technology leadership we need for scale. These changes sharpen our focus, strengthen accountability and set us up for what’s next.”
He added: “With a clearer structure, modernised tech roadmap and enhanced marketing capability, we are well positioned to deliver sustainable value and long-term growth as we enter this exciting next chapter and growth and expansion.”
