Not Just Travel expands senior team and plots to ‘double in size’

Not Just Travel has recruited a new chief revenue officer as part of its plans to double in size over the next 12 months.

The homeworking agency’s senior management team has been joined by Marcus Jones, “whose primary focus is to increase the incomes” of NJT travel consultants.

Jones is an ex-managing director of AutoTrader and also of Trinity Mirror Digital Property, which became part of Zoopla.

His appointment and plans for growth were unveiled at a Not Just Travel training event in Birmingham at the weekend (January 8-9) for more than 200 travel consultants and more than 40 trade partners.

Co-founder Paul Harrison said: “We already have a phenomenal team, but to grow to the next level in our business we need to bring in even more talent; the very best from within travel and outside.

“We are pleased to be announcing another fantastic coup for the business, as we introduce our chief revenue officer, a person whose primary focus is to increase the incomes of our travel consultants.”

Not Just Travel said its announcements at the event of new features, services and ambitious plans “will contribute to its doubling in size over next 12 months”.

The senior team also delivered training for all consultants to help them capitalise on the busy peaks period.

Harrison added: “The last couple of years has been a turbulent time in the travel industry, to say the least.

“However, as a business, we’ve continued to go from strength to strength. In fact, we have taken the decision to turn down multiple offers for investment and acquisition and we’ve continued to expand.”

Jones commented: “I’m excited to be joining an award-winning, innovative and progressive company. I have found the team to be very welcoming, friendly, knowledgeable, and professional so far.

“The industry is bouncing back. There is a lot of pent-up demand that needs to be nurtured, and I want to help NJT attract, win, maintain and retain as many customers as possible whilst keeping our service levels high.”

The event saw the launch of the launch of the Ultimate Rewards programme for NJT travel consultants, details of which will be made public later this year.

Co-founder Steve Witt said: “We’ve locked in a raft of exciting but confidential benefits to our members which create our secret recipe of creating a highly profitable and loyal family of members.”
