Travel Counsellors has held its first ‘Go Beyond’ masterclass with Sara Davies MBE, following her appointment as the company’s growth and entrepreneurship partner.
The first session in the six-part series was broadcast live in April and connected Davies – a panellist on BBC reality show Dragons’ Den – from her studio in County Durham with more than 1,000 Travel Counsellors agents across the UK.
The series is designed to equip travel counsellors with the insights, strategies and tools needed to scale their businesses and drive growth.
Focused on ’What Every Entrepreneur Needs – Energy, But Where Do You Find It?’, the session saw Davies and travel counsellors cover topics such as self-motivation, overcoming parent guilt and tackling imposter syndrome.

Davies shared her personal experiences and practical strategies for maintaining energy and enthusiasm in business, emphasising the importance of a growth mindset.
After the session, Davies said: "Entrepreneurship is a journey filled with highs and lows, and maintaining the right mindset is crucial.
“It’s not just about working hard but also about working smart, surrounding yourself with the right people, and staying accountable.
“I loved sharing my experiences with the Travel Counsellors community and connecting with like-minded entrepreneurs keen to work on their businesses.”
Katie Kirk, ’Gold’ travel counsellor, said: “It was a pleasure to be part of the session and offer some of the techniques that help keep me motivated.
“The first is always reminding myself of my ‘why’ – my family. That’s my driving force. The second is consistency; I treat every client with the same care and attention. These two principles really help me stay focused and on track."
The company has also launched a separate ‘Take the Leap’ series with Davies designed for aspiring entrepreneurs considering a career with Travel Counsellors.
A Travel Counsellors spokesperson said the initiatives are “part of our ongoing commitment to providing the very best tools and support for our global community of business owners”.
