Tui is to open its first hotel in Cambodia as part of expansion plans in Asia.
The 189-room Tui Blue Sihanoukville will be located along the coastline of the Gulf of Thailand.
Tui Hotels & Resorts is also introducing the Tui Suneo brand in China, with the 215-room Tui Suneo Shenzhen Manwan in the Dapeng Bay New District of Shenzhen.
The company signed three other properties this week, giving the company 26 additional hotels in Asia in the pipeline
The resorts will be developed in destinations such as Cambodia, China, Indonesia, Maldives, Philippines, Thailand and Vietnam.
The portfolio currently comprises of 22 resorts in Asia following the addition of hotels this financial year in Bangkok, Bali and China.
Tui Group chief strategy officer and holiday experiences chief executive Peter Krueger said: “With our expansion in Asia we continue to grow our global presence.
“Our strong leisure hotel brands are not only attracting new partners to our management and franchise agreements, but also offering appealing holiday experiences for new guests from the region.”
Tui Hotels & Resorts managing director Artur Gerber added: “Adding a new destination and launching an additional brand in Asia is an important milestone for us.
“Our expertise in the leisure hotel industry offers great added value not only to guests from Europe but also from Asia. Together with our local partners, we will create a welcoming atmosphere and unique holiday experiences.”
