The company was formed in January after the demise of Travelscope Holidays, which used to charter ship Van Gogh from its owner Club Cruise Group.
The new firm fell into trouble after being refused ABTA membership because of its “previous connections” with Travelscope – Van Gogh managing director Mark Horwood was a director at the collapsed company.
Van Gogh general manager Emma Ward admitted there had been a problem but remained optimistic that it would be business as usual from November 22.
The company is planning to appeal against ABTA’s decision.
