Video: British Airways repatriation flights land in Peru

British Airways aircraft and crews have landed in the Peruvian capital of Lima, Peru to fly hundreds of stranded Britons back home.

The repatriation flights have been chartered by the Foreign Office and are due to land back in the UK on Monday and Tuesday.

All flights are operated by the airlines’ Boeing 777-200ER aircraft.

The first flight landed at Heathrow on Monday morning.

The Foreign Office has helped fly home almost 1,400 people on charter flights from China and Peru and 1,900 people on cruise ships.

It is thought there are still thousands of Britons stranded all over the world, including in India, Panama and Vietnam.
