Virgin Atlantic is launching direct flights between Heathrow and Phuket for winter 2026.
From October 18 next year, the airline will operate the only non-stop service from the London airport to the Thai city.
Flights will take off three times every week during the season to “capture the growing demand for luxury winter escapes”.
The flights will be on Wednesday, Friday and Sunday from Heathrow, and Thursday, Saturday and Monday from Phuket.
They will be available to book from November 26, 2025 on the Virgin Atlantic website.
Selected travel partners can also book package holidays to the Thailand destination with Virgin Atlantic Holidays from October 30 this year, with prices starting from £999.
This programme is in addition to the airline’s winter services to Cancun in Mexico which will launch on October 19, 2025, as well as other destinations such as the Maldives, Dubai and Cape Town.
Virgin Atlantic chief commercial officer Juha Jarvinen said: "We’re thrilled to introduce our new direct service to Phuket, giving our customers a flavour of one of Southeast Asia’s most captivating destinations.
“As well as making the trip more convenient, they can enjoy exploring Thailand’s unique heritage, natural beauty and delicious cuisine.
