The Association of Touring & Adventure Suppliers has unveiled TV presenter and wildlife expert Lizzie Daly as a speaker for its conference next month.
Her appearance at the event in Silverstone will be sponsored by AE Expeditions.
Daly is a wildlife presenter, filmmaker, scientist and author whose credits span BBC One, BBC Two, CBBC, National Geographic, Animal Planet, Love Nature and Sky TV. She recently presented Deep Dive North America for Love Nature (2025), a follow-up to Deep Dive Australia (Sky TV, 2024).
Last year, she filmed in Sri Lanka for a major series about elephants, which will be shown later this year on Channel 4 – and she recently completed a 140km solo ultramarathon in the Arctic Circle.
She is currently completing her PhD at Swansea University and has been awarded an honorary doctorate in recognition of her contribution to conservation and science communication.
Daly has also worked with conservationists and campaigners such as Jane Goodall, Steve Backshall and former US vice-president Al Gore.
The Atas 2026 conference will be held on September 21-22 at Silverstone, Towcester, with the theme of ‘Accelerate’.
Claire Brighton, Atas director, said: “Our agents and members have seen a lot of growth lately in wildlife tours, so it will be fascinating to hear from Lizzie about her travels and experiences with endangered species – plus her PhD work using tag technology to study the movements of wild animals.
“Her CV is hugely impressive and she can also talk about the environment, exploration and her sporting activities, such as running, rock climbing, kayaking and diving, so her session promises to be very entertaining and inspiring.”
Fortune Awaits has returned for a second year!
Ten agents will win a once-in-a-lifetime prize, including flights to Shanghai, a five-day cruise on Spectrum of the Seas calling in Okinawa, Japan, plus a host of VIP experiences.
