Ever fancied yourself as the next Judith Chalmers or Craig Doyle? Well, now’s your chance to win £5,000 with TW Group’s Travel Stars competition
Presented by TWgroup in association with Holiday Brokers TV and gazetteers.com, Travel Stars is offering agents the opportunity to try their hands at being a travel presenter.
All you have to do is deliver a report – to a video camera or mobile phone – either from your holiday destination or once you get home. You do not have to be in resort when you record your video. Next, just upload it to the Travel Stars homepage.
Your video can be about anything providing it gives an insight into your destination, resort and the locals you encounter on holiday while showing off your potential for presenting.
You can upload as many video clips as you like but each should be no more than five minutes long. The winner will become a TV reporter for Travel Weekly and attend the prestigious Globe Awards.
Not only that, there’s a £5,000 cash prize up for grabs. The judging takes place in January so make sure you upload your clips before the January 16 2009 deadline.
On Holiday Group key account manager James Algra said: “What make’s a good video stand out is you. Dress up, mess around, bring in props if you like.
“The best reviews are described from a customer’s point of view. They highlight the things that really matter to you personally. For example, cleanliness of the rooms, staff attitude, location to main resorts or activities and value for money.”
TWgroup editor-in-chief Penny Wilson said: “Agents have added thousands of written reviews on gazetteers.com and now we want to match that with video reviews. This competition is easy to enter, so if you fancy yourself as a presenter then load up your review by camera or via your mobile phone.”
